BSS Principal Announcement

Wainwright  - Blessed Sacrament School New Principal Announcement 

On behalf of ECCS central office and the Board we would like to congratulate Gil Kohle on being appointed as the new principal for the upcoming 2022-23 school year. We are looking forward to working with Gil and his new leadership team in the years to come.

Gilbert Kohle was born in Cudworth, Saskatchewan, and when his father retired from farming, his family moved to Saskatoon, where Gilbert grew up. He went to the University of Saskatchewan, earning a Bachelor of Education in 1991 with a major in Religious Studies and dual minors in Mathematics and Education Exceptionalities.

Gilbert has been teaching at Blessed Sacrament School for the past 31 years, where he has taught Religion, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Guitar, Robotics, Coding, Woods and other CTS and CTF courses. In addition, for the past six years, Gilbert has served as the High School Vice Principal.

Gilbert and his wife Sherri have two children, Logan and Brooklynn, who have been busy at the University of Alberta. Gilbert likes to be creative in his spare time, whether it is playing guitar, woodworking or coding.
